At Aryeh, we believe that the kitchen is the heart of the home - the place where stories are shared, connections are forged, and delicious memories are created. As passionate advocates of good food, we've crafted a new kitchen space in Auckland’s west coast town of Piha, where we not only cook up delectable dishes but also invite you to dine, collaborate, and connect with us.

THE KITCHEN

Executive Chef Lucas Parkinson: From the Mountains to the Sea

Meet Executive Chef and Restaurateur Lucas Parkinson, a trailblazer in New Zealand's dining scene. At 36, Lucas has made an impression on the hospitality world with his inventive and sustainable approach to elevated dining. His debut restaurant, Ode in Wānaka, became synonymous with organic, sustainable, and hyper-local New Zealand cuisine, earning acclaim and awards throughout its existence.

With Aryeh, Lucas extends an invitation to embark on a culinary journey in the iconic West Auckland beach town. Located on the site of the former Piha Cafe, Aryeh strives to elevate the dining experience, drawing inspiration from Lucas's acclaimed restaurant Ode in Wānaka.

Aryeh: A Continuation of Culinary Philosophy

Aryeh is a continuation of Lucas's food philosophy, one that celebrates the integrity of ingredients, satisfies your senses, and often weaves a compelling narrative. Lucas delicately balances commercial success with soul-fulfilment and aims to serve good food that weaves together a narrative of the past, the present and a commitment to the future wellbeing of the land and the wider community.

Welcome to Aryeh, where our kitchen is not just a place to prepare meals, but a hub for creativity, connection, and culinary exploration. Join us in celebrating the essence of good food and the artistry of celebrated Chef Lucas Parkinson and his team.

Aryeh: Connection and Collaboration

Connecting with other chefs, businesses and individuals who are doing good things in the hospitality landscape is important to us. The friendships, growth and joy that have come from our experiences collaborating with motivated, inspirational and passionate people is invaluable and something we truly cherish.

If you are interested in a co-lab at Aryeh,  or perhaps are a local grower, farmer, hunter, fisherman, forager or producer who has the goods, we welcome you to reach out and explore opportunities to collaborate, co-create and expand our community as we settle back in to life in the north.
